The Chamber’s Annual Northern Star Business Awards took place yesterday evening at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference, and ADA (Alcohol & Drugs Action) are delighted to announce their success in the gaining the award for Outstanding Contribution to Society.
The event which recognises exceptional achievements by organisations in the North East across a diverse range of fields from energy to innovation, customer service to people development, gave recognition to thirty nine finalists this year in front of 750 guests.
Luan Grugeon, Chief Executive at ADA said “the team at ADA are thrilled to win this award. It means a great deal that the work ADA does in preventing alcohol and drug related harm and helping people recover is valued and recognised by our business community. I hope this will lead to us developing new partnerships to enable us to make a positive difference to people’s lives”.
ADA is a unique charity in the North East which has developed effective services in response to emerging local substance use issues over the past 30 years. Gaining acknowledgment at this year’s Northern Star Business Awards will help the charity gain improved recognition among the business community and reach out to more people affected by substance use issues in the North East.
Congratulations to all the other deserving winners in each of the 14 categories at this year’s event.
