ADA Services open access hubs

Banchory, Stonehaven, Inverurie, Huntly

We are now operating open access drop-in services in South and Central Aberdeenshire for anyone concerned about their own or a loved ones use of alcohol or drugs.

We have open access hubs operating in Stonehaven, Inverurie, Banchory & Huntly, and plan to add more locations as required. In addition we can provide support to outlying communities for people who are unable to travel to a hub.

From each hub we offer

  • An initial assessment of need carried out by an experienced member of the substance use team from Alcohol & Drugs Action.

  • Immediate advice and support to intervene early to reduce the hams associated with alcohol and drugs

  • Provision of the Take Home Naloxone scheme and other interventions to reduce drug related harms

  • Time limited packages of therapeutic support

  • Help to engage with other appropriate services and support

  • Lapse management and relapse prevention work

  • Follow up with service users who have disengaged with support
